Explosion Proof and Intrinsically Safe (IS) Solenoid Valves
The PneuMagnetic™ actuator is ideal for applications in wide range of industries and environments where safety from electrical ignition of flammable gases or dust is a concern. It is also ideal for situations where personal safety from electrical current is a concern. Since there is no solenoid coil there is no need for electricity and no need for solenoid coil conduit or special intrinsically safe components and design.
Pneumatic Control Systems
In addition, pure pneumatic control systems can benefit from the advantages of being able to use industry standard direct acting valve bodies which do not contain an actuator fluid seal. Other pneumatic valve operators always require this extra seal (a potential point of failure) between the valve actuator and the valve.
